Not only do they provide delicious drinks and amazing books, but they also host a ton of fun events and offer private rooms for bookclubs & podcasts.
Rainy Day Books opened their doors in 1975 and has been a gathering place for lovers of literature ever since. Located in the Fairway Shopping Center, they hold a variety of book clubs and host hundreds of author events every year – from debut novelists to prize-winning best sellers!
Kansas City’s first Romance Bookshop! The brainchild of Carley Morton, Under the Cover honors romance in all its forms. Their shop is organized by genre, such as “Sports!”, “Oh, a Billionaire”, “Uh Oh”, and “Ride ’em Cowfolk” (to name a few).
